5. Contracting authority: Ministre du développement, de l'économie et des
finances, Ordonnateur national du FED en République du Bénin, Cotonou.
6. Object of the contract: Service contract (technical assistance).
7. Contract description: Long-term technical assistance (36 months) for
the health sector support project in Benin. Setting up a coordination unit
responsible for coordinating and monitoring all elements of the project.
The prerogatives of this unit are, in particular, institution building and
facilitating all consultation platforms in the sector (public, private,
technical and financial partners, other parties involved in the health
sector, etc.). The unit will comprise 1 high-level technical assistant, 3
experts and support staff.
8. Maximum budget available: EUR 1 206 000.
9. Scheduled date for publication of the contract notice: October 2007.
11. Legal basis: ACP-EC Cotonou Agreement, signed on 23.6.2000.
Decision No 2/2002 of the ACP-EC Council of Ministers of 7.10.2002
regarding the implementation of Articles 28, 29 and 30 of Annex IV to the
Cotonou Agreement and its Annex.
