SECTION II: OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT
II.1) DESCRIPTION
II.1.1) Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority: IT
Training for Rural Business.
II.1.2) Type of contract and location of works, place of delivery or of
performance: Services.

II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): Provision of IT
training and Mentoring at level 1 & 2 to Rural Businesses across Wales.
The Welsh Assembly Government is procuring the delivery of IT training and
Mentoring to approximately 4 000 individuals recruited from Rural
Businesses involved in the Land based sector and Rural Businesses
supporting or associated with the land based sector. The training to be
delivered in Rural locations utilising IT centeres and mobile facilities.
The target beneficiaries will be employees(including owner Managers) of
small Rural Businesses who currently have no or very low IT skills.
II.1.6) Common procurement vocabulary (CPV): 80000000, 80420000,
80423000, 80423300, 80423320.
II.1.8) Division into lots: Yes.
Tenders should be submitted for: one or more lots.
II.2) QUANTITY OR SCOPE OF THE CONTRACT
II.2.1) Total quantity or scope: Expressions of interest are required
from training providers to deliver the training in the following
locations: 1. Counties of Gwynedd and Anglesey, 2. Counties of Conway,
Denbigh, Flint and Wrexham.
3. Counties of Powys, 4. South and West Wales, 5 All Wales. Companies
expressing an interest must request a prequalification questionnaire and
return it completed with any associated documents to the above address by
9.9.2009 (30 days after the date the document is sent ) All correspondence
must quote Contract Number 56/2008/09. For Consortium bids the information
must be provided for each member of the consortium. These details can be
provided in hard copy or electronically.
Organisations are requested to indicate which regions they are interested
in providing the training in.
This contract will be availiable for use by other government departments
and associated bodies with the prior written approval of the Authority.
II.3) DURATION OF THE CONTRACT OR TIME-LIMIT FOR COMPLETION: Duration in
months: 36 (from the award of the contract).
SECTION III: LEGAL, ECONOMIC, FINANCIAL AND TECHNICAL INFORMATION
III.1) CONDITIONS RELATING TO THE CONTRACT
III.1.1) Deposits and guarantees required: The awarding authority
reserves the right to request parent company and/or other guarantees of
performance and financial liability.
III.1.2) Main financing conditions and payment arrangements and/or
reference to the relevant provisions regulating them: Payment terms will
be indicated in the contract documents. Tenders to be priced in sterling.
