The Department of the Interior (DOI), National Business Center (NBC), Acquisition Services Directorate (AQD) - Herndon is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) on behalf of the Department of Defense (DoD), Tricare Management Activity (TMA) who has a requirement for Coaching Support Services needed to bridge the potential gaps in mental health support during transitional periods that can lead to Service Members (SM) disengagement from treatment entirely by offering information, providing SMs non-medical counseling, education and advice services for eligible beneficiaries and otherwise encouraging the utilization of behavioral health services. This effort will establish a singular effort to develop and implement a mental health service component which directly supports a nexus for patients while they are transitioning between healthcare systems or providers in order to support our service member efforts to achieve and maintain wellness and to assure the continuity of required services. The period of performance will be twelve (12) months form the date of award with four (4) option periods of one (1) year each. This requirement is being procured as a full and open competition. The resultant award is expected to be a Firm Fixed Price contract. The NAICS code for this requirement is 624190 - Other Individual and Family Services. The NAICS code must be listed on CCR. The competitive RFP will be posted to FedBizOps, and the specifications, RFP attachments and all questions and responses related to this procurement will be available through a link to http://www.aqd.gov under RFP number 1406-04-08-RP-20906. The RFP is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about August 30, 2008 and will be available via the Internet at the website address listed above. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the website. Interested parties must respond to the RFP in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. No written solicitation document is available, telephone requests will not be honored and no offeror's list will be maintained.
