ERDC Contracting Office, Vicksburg, MS, intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to ARO, Hampton, NH. The requirement is for the acquisition of aquatic laboratory organisms. In order to protect the integrity of on-going studies, it is imperative that the laboratory aquatic organisms be obtained from ARO. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities/qualifications in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 10:00 a.m. Central Time Zone on 8 August 2008. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based on responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No solicitation is available at this time.
