for two different Home from Hospital services to ensure adults being
discharged from hospital are supported to return home with a safe,
effective and timely co-ordinated system of voluntary aftercare. One of
which will be based at the West Suffolk Hospital covering the West
locality and the other will be based at Ipswich Hospital covering the
East/South locality.

VI.3) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Suffolk and its neighbouring county,
Norfolk, are currently the subject of local government structural review
by the Boundary Committee. Further details about the structural review
will be given in the Council's tender documents. In the mean time,
tenderers should be aware that one or more new unitary authorities and one
or more fire authorities, with responsibility for some or all of the
geographical county of Suffolk, may be created following the review. In
such circumstances, this notice shall stand as a Contract Notice issued on
behalf of Suffolk County Council and (if relevant) of any or all of the
new unitaries and/or fire authorities which may be created as a result of
the structural review within or crossing the current Suffolk
administrative border. If new unitary authorities and/or fire authorities
are established following the boundary review, the successful tenderer
will be required to co-operate with Suffolk County Council and its
successor(s) to ensure that the contract arising from this procurement is
dealt with in the most appropriate way. The contract may be transferred to
the new unitary authority/ies and/or fire authorities and it may be
divided between them if appropriate. Alternatively, one of the new bodies
may act as central purchasing authority on behalf of the other(s). Such
arrangements may occur by Statutory Order but the County Council also
intends to make contractual provision permitting such arrangements.
Receipt for completed tenders is 1500 hours on 16th September 2008, any
submissions received after this date will not be evaluated.
