Description

REQUEST FOR TENDER

AusAID, the Australian Agency for International Development, manages the Australian Government's official overseas aid program. AusAID assists developing countries to reduce poverty and achieve sustainable development, in line with Australia's national interest.  AusAID is seeking a contractor to undertake the following development program in Indonesia:

AUSTRALIAN DEVELOPMENT SCHOLARSHIPS (ADS) IN-INDONESIA MANAGEMENT PROGRAM PHASE III

Australian Development Scholarships (ADS) have played a significant role in supporting the Australia Indonesia Partnership since 1997. Supporting the Australia Indonesia Partnership Country Strategy 2008-2013, ADS Indonesia seeks to equip Indonesians with knowledge and skills in priority areas and to foster people to people linkages in order to contribute to the development of Indonesia.

ADS Indonesia has two components: In-Australia and In-Indonesia. AusAID requires a contractor to manage Phase III of the In-Indonesia component.

The key services of ADS In-Indonesia Management Program Phase III will include the management of strategic promotions, applications and support to key agencies and sectors, the selection process, provision of English for Academic Purposes (EAP) training and testing, placement of awardees in appropriate courses of study, mobilisation of awardees, post award reintegration and support, and monitoring and evaluation and quality reporting in-line with AusAID's quality reporting framework.

It is anticipated that the ADS In-Indonesia Management Program Phase III will commence about January 2009, and will continue over three (3) years, with an option to extend for a further two (2) years.

Selection will be on a one step basis. The closing date for submission of proposals is 2:00pm (Canberra time) Tuesday, 30 September 2008.
