Contract description: aselineassessment, design and business planning for water supply and
sanitation at Bolero/Mwazisi and Nthalire
Scope of contract: The works will involve design andconstruction supervision of rehabilitation,
upgrading and construction of intake works,treatment plants, transmission mains, storage tanks,
distribution pipelines, auxiliary buildings, andextension of distribution system to newly
developed areas.
The Consultants are also expected to carry out baselineassessment, financial and tariff analysis,
immediate service improvement, prepare businessplans, prepare performance-based contracts
for utility operators and implement capacitybuilding programme for water user associations and
utility operators.
