Kalmunai Municipal Council has received financial assistance from the European Union under Asia Pro Eco 11B, to implement the WASSER Project with the partnership city of Munich Germany; The project aims to alleviate the water and sanitation issues of the Tsunami victims, poor and marginalized people of the Kalmunai Municipality.
1) The Chairman of the Municipal Council Procurement Committee, on behalf of the Kalmunai Municipal Council invites sealed Bids from eligible and qualified Bidders for construction work and material supplies.
2) Interested Bidders may obtain further information from the Municipal Engineer and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
3) A complete set of bidding documents in English Languages may be purchased by interested Bidders on the submission of a written application to the Chairman, Municipal Council, Procurement Committee, Police Station Road, Kalmunai Municipal Council, Kalmunai from 25.08.2008 until 05.09.2008 from 9.00 hrs to 04.00 hrs upon payment of a non-refundable j fee of Rs. 1,000.00 the method of payment will be by cash.
4) Bids shall be delivered to the address at or before 10.00 a.m. on 15.09.2008. Name of the contract should be written on the top left-hand corner. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened soon after closing in presence of the Bidder's Representatives who choose to! attend.
5) Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Security prescribed in the list below.
6) Bid Bond (amount is below mentioned) having a validity period of 60 days from the date of bid opening drawn in favour of the Commissioner, Kalmunai Municipal Council, obtained { from a reputed bank.
