The Federal Highway Administration intends to award a sole source purchase order to TA Instruments to provide on-site preventive maintenance agreement plus for FHWA owned Dynamic Shear Rheometers. TA Instruments is the only known source that specializes in providing preventive maintenance, calibration service, and parts for the AR200 and G-2 Dynamic Shear Rheometers. All responsible sources may submit a response identifying their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the total estimated value is not to exceed $25,000.
