The Government of Pakistan has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of following six contracts.
Part of this loan will be used for payment under the contract named above.
The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) ("the Employer") invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the construction and completion of the works, listed under Para-1 above.
Only eligible bidders with the following key qualifications per contract in this notice can participate in this bidding: Contractors having experience of contracts of similar size and nature and participation as a Contractor, Management Contractor, or Sub-contractors in at least two contracts within last five years each having value of at least 28.C (twenty eight) million for work at Sr. No.1 (i) and Rs. 26.0 (twenty six) million for work at Sr. No. 1 (ii) & (iii) that have been successfully or substantially completed and that are similar to the proposed works.
Having Minimum average annual construction turnover of Pak Rs. 47.0 million at Sr. No.l (i) and Rs. 44.0 million for work at Sr. No.l (ii) & (iii) calculated as total certified payments received for contracts in progress or completed, within the last 3 (three) years.
Registered with Pakistan Engineering Council in the relevant category of contractors. If not already registered, the lowest evaluated bidder shall have to get him registered before signing of the Contract.

To purchase the bidding documents in English, eligible bidders should write to address of above, requesting the bidding document for and or more of the works listed under Para-1 above.
Pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 2000/- (two thousand) for each contract in shape of pay order/draft in favour of XEN Civil, IESCO, Islamabad.
Deliver your bid at the Office of Executive Engineer Civil Division, IESCO, 1st Floor, Street No. 63, Sector G-8/1, Islamabad on or before 08-09-2008 at 1100 hours along with bid security of 2% (two percent) of the contract price.
Bids will be opened immediately after the deadline in the presence of bidders or their Representatives who choose to attend.
