The Executive Engineer. Kolkata Central Division No. V11, CPWD. Nizam Palace, Koikata-700 020 on behalf of the President of India, invites the b"Js from firms/contractors ot repute in two envelop system for the following work:
2. Contractors who fulfill the following requirements shall be eligible to apply. Join: Ventures are not accepted.
(a) Should have satisfactorily completed durmg the East Seven years ending last day of the month JULY, 2008.
(I) Three similar works each costing not less than Rs.10.06 Crore or completed two similar works each costing not less than Rs.1S.10 Crore or completed one similar work costing nol less than 20.13 Crore. And (li) One work of any nature [either part of (i) above or a separate one] costing not less than Rs. 10.06 Crore with some Central / Stale Government / Central Autonomous Body/Central Public Sector Undertaking.
Similar work shall mean works of Jetty Work. Bridge work in Rivers/ Sea with Well/Pile Foundation having Superstructure with Pre-cast/ Pre-stressed/Reinforced Concrete construction in River/Sea conditions. The value of Expected Works shall be brought to current costing level by enhancing the actual value of work at simple rate of 7% per annum; calculated from the date of completion to last date of receipt of applications for tenders.
Should have had average annual financial turn over of Rs.7.55 Crore on construction works dunng the immediate fast three consecutive financial years ending 31" March, 2008.
Should not have incurred any loss in more than two years during the last frve years ending 31" March, 2008.
Should have solvency ot Rs. 10.06 Crore.

Bid documents consisting o* plans, specifications, the schedule of quantities ot the vanous dasses of work to be done and the set of terms and conditions of contract to be complied with by the contractor whose bid may be accepted and other necessary documents can be seen m the office of the Executive Engineer, Kolkata Central Division No \ II CPWD. Nizam Palace. Kolkata-20 between hours of 11.00 AM and 4.00 PM from 27.08.2008 lo 10.09.2008 every day except on Sundays and Public Holidays. Bid documents, excluding standard form will be issued from his office, during the hours specified above, on payment of the follow: (I) Rs. 15007- in cash as cost of bid and (il) Earnest money Rs.50,31.919.00 in cash (upto Rs. 10,000/-) Receipt Treasury ChaltarVDeposit at call receipt of a schedule oanfc/l'xed deposit receipt of a schedule bank/demand draft of a schedule bank issued m favour of Executive Engineer, Kolkata Central Division No. VII, CPWD, Nizam Palace. Kolkala-20. A part of Earnest Money is acceptable in the form of Bank Guarantee also. In such case. 50 % of earnest money or Rs.20 Lac whichever is less will have to be deposited ;n shape prescribed above and balance m shape of Bank Guarantee.
4. Applications supported by prescribed annexure and the financial old sham be placed in separate sealed envelopes each marked 'Eligibi! Ly Documents'' and 'Fmandal bio" respectively. Both the envelopes shall be submitted together in another sealed envelope. The bids will be received up to 3.00 PM on 19.09.2008. The envelope marked "Eligibility Documents* shall be opened by the Executive Engineer or his authorized representative In his office on the same day at 3.30 PM. The time and date of opening of financial bid shall be communicated at a later date. Pre Bid conference shall be held in the chamber of Executive Engineer. Kolkata Central Division No.VII, CPWD. Kolkata-20 at 2.00 P.M. on 16.09.2008 to clear the doubt of intending tenderers, if any.
