SECTION II: OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT
II.1) DESCRIPTION

II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): The Housing
Corporation has appointed Cambridgeshire Partnerships Limited, lead by
BPHA (the Contracting Authority) to deliver a vision of the Cambridge
Challenge. The three goals of the Cambridge Challenge are the delivery of
well managed and balanced communities, well designed, high quality homes
and the most cost effective use of the public purse. Three sites have been
chosen in which to deliver the Cambridge Challenge, one of which is
Trumptington Meadows. In this notice BPHA seeks potential partners to come
forward with an offering of land at Trumpington Meadows which the partners
can develop and arrange for the design and construction of up to 480
affordable houses to meet the requirements of Cambridgeshire Partnerships
Limited. Cambridgeshire Partnerships Limited comprises BPHA; Aldwyck
Housing Association; Papworth Trust; King Strees Housing Society and
Hundred Houses Society, with BPHA taking the lead on its behalf.

III.1) CONDITIONS RELATING TO THE CONTRACT
III.1.1) Deposits and guarantees required: Parent company guarantee's and
bank security may be required at the discretion of BPHA depending upon the
financial strength of the party it is dealing with. Collateral warranties
in favour of the members of the Cambridgeshire Partnership Limited will
also be required.
III.1.3) Legal form to be taken by the group of economic operators to
whom the contract is to be awarded: In the case of a consortium, each
member is to have joint and several liability.

targets within the restraints required and to meet deadlines of the
Housing Corporation for relevant grant applications and obligations of the
relevant City Councils.
