The Ministry of Natural Resources of Ontario requests tenders for the Reconstruction of Existing On-site Sewage Disposal System in Rene Brunelle Provincial Park

MANDATORY SITE MEETING

Prospective bidders must attend a mandatory site meeting, as follows:

Date and Time: October 16, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. local time,
Location: Rene Brunelle Provincial Park Office
Directions to Site: Hwy 11, West of Cochrane, East of Kapuskasing, to Moonbeam, Moonbeam north on Hwy 581 to Rene Brunelle Provincial Park Office (Main Gate).

Prospective bidders or their designated representative must attend the mandatory site meeting to view drawings, documents, and inspect the construction site. All bidders shall be deemed to have received any and all information that the mandatory site meeting might avail. Prospective bidders who do not have a representative present for the whole meeting will not be permitted to bid. All attendees will be required to sign in upon arrival.

October 30, 2008 2:00 p.m. (local Peterborough time)

DESCRIPTION OF DELIVERABLES

The Work is as follows (but not limited to):

Construction of proposed sewage disposal system for proposed Trailer Sanitary Dumping Station, existing Comfort Station and Maintenance Building in Rene Brunelle Provincial Park shall be done according to the related Project No.27116, dwg. 1 to of 7, specification and hydrological report prepared by Geo-Logic Inc.
« Existing holding tank, lift station, water towers, dumping pad at Trailer Sanitary Dumping Station (TSDS) shall be removed from park property.
« Existing Sewage Holding Tank located at maintenance area shall be removed.
« Section of existing sewage force main between existing lift station at C omfort Station and existing lagoon shall be disconnected, cleaned, capped and/or abandoned.
«All removed equipment; piping and building material shall be delivered to approved area outside park. Existing site shall be restored to match existing grade.

Supply all labour, tools, services and equipment and provide all the material required to complete the reconstruction of the existing on-site sewage disposal system as specified in Tender OSS-077155 at Rene Brunelle Provincial Park

The Ministry anticipates that the Work will commence by November 30, 2008, with a possible completion date of May, 2010, as per the dates indicated in Section 1.1. The commencement date shall be finalized with the selected bidder once all appropriate documentation has been received by the Ministry, but without effect on the completion date.

A description of the Work, the conditions of work, and the quality standards required can be found by referring to the drawings and specifications for Project No. 27116- Environmental and Electrical Specifications Project No. 27116 and Site Drawings, pg. 1-4 as described on MERX and to the Form of Agreement.

LIST OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS

The Contractor will perform all of the Work under this RFT as specified in the Contract Documents, including the drawings, site drawings and specifications, to include any changes/revisions approved by the Ministry. The Contract Documents include the following drawings, site drawings and specifications:

A. Drawings for:
Environmental and Electrical

B. Site Drawings

C. Specifications for Project No. 27116

NOTE: Drawings And Specifications are included in the www.MERX.com listing as separate documents and are incorporated together in the RFT as Appendix H Drawings, Appendix I Specifications and Appendix J Site Drawings. Drawings, Site Drawings And Specifications will not be distributed at the Site Meeting. Bidders are urged to review their tender package to ensure its completeness. The bidder is urged to carefully read and understand all aspects of the RFT and its process, including the Tender to be made in response to it; the draft Agreement; the Drawings, Site Drawings and Specifications; and all sections, schedules, and appendices of all documents issued or required in relation to the RFT.

TERM OF AGREEMENT

The Ministry anticipates that the Work will commence likely by November 30, 2008, with a completion date of no later than May, 2010. The commencement date shall be finalized with the selected bidder once all appropriate documentation has been received by the Ministry, but without effect on the completion date.
