The deadline for submitting Bank Risk Management Training proposal has been extended to December 19, 2008

Additional information: Posted on November 24, 2008

Phase 1 Component 1: Interviews (face-to-face, telephonic, etc) may need to be conducted in the MENA region to better understand the training needs and existing BoD/C-level risk management practices. The interviews will be the responsibility of the consultants however IFC staff can facilitate the process by leveraging other MENA Bank Risk Management events. This could include circulating questionnaires or surveys to identify banks, confirm risk management practices, etc.

Phase 1 Component 2: Venue for the pilot training course should be in Cairo. However the length of this course will not be the same as the Component 3 seminars. The pilot training course should be of the same length as the required time for delivering training material in Phase 2. Thus the pilot training course will serve as a quality check of training material content, instructor effectiveness and format/methodology assessment prior to IFC approval.

Phase 1 Component 3: The consultants will be responsible for organizing and managing the seminars. Thus efforts should be made to include a reasonable cost estimate for such events in Cairo and Dubai. Alternate locations can also be suggested by the consultants; although these will need to be cleared with IFC during contract negotiations. Specific venue within each location must be selected/suggested keeping in mind the audience groups defined in the RFP. IFC approval will also be required before finalizing list of invitees.

The IFC invites proposals to provide the following consulting services: i) identify areas for enhancing bank risk management practices in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region; ii) develop risk management training material for senior management and leadership team of Financial Institutions; iii) work with IFC in the MENA region to deliver training
