(1) Applications are hereby Invited by the Chairman MILCO (Private) Ltd From reputed Suppliers, Manufacturers. Importers. Agents. Stockiest, Contractors and Organizations including Corporations, Boards and recognized mercantile (irms, who wish lo register themselves with Milco (Private) Limited, for the supply of items and services listed below for the Year 2009.
(2) Applications for Registration should be submitted in the prescribed form which could be obtained Iron Milco (Private) Ltd. Ministry of Livestock Development, (2nd Floor) Purchasing Division, No.45. St. Michael's Rd, Col.. 03 on payment of a non-refundable Registration Fee of Rs 500.00 (Rupees Five Hundred) per Application form. All payments should be in Cash. Money Orders and Cheques will not accepted. Registration of Suppliers / Contractors forms will not be issued without requesting letters. Separate applications
Contractors who seek to register under Civil Engineering Construction work are required to be members for the year 2008/2009 of the Institute of Construction Training and Development (ICTAD).
The list of Registered Suppliers / Contractors for the year 2008 presently maintained by the Company will become non-operative on 31sl December 2008.
Restricted quotations will normally be called Iron the Registered Suppliers. However. Company reserves the right to call quotations from short-listed Suppliers or from any other Suppliers when it is necessary.
The Tender Board will consider all applications and will take necessary action to register applications lhat have fulfilled the requirements. Those who have not completed / not fulfilled the requirements satisfactorily and late applications will be rejected.
Registration is liable to be cancelled without notice of those Suppliers who fail to quote when requested or fail to execute an order on time or fail to submit samples when requested or whose supplies do not conform to specifications or differ from the approved sample.
Perfected application forma should be sent under registered cover to reach The Manager Purchasing, Milco (Private) Limited. Ministry of Livestock Development No.45, St. Michael's Road, Colombo 03, not later than 15th December 2008.
Milco (Private) Limited reserves the right to re]ect any application, and to obtain quotations and to make purchases from any other supplier as well. Any registered supplier who fails to submit quotations and to supply goods / services as expected will be deleted from the Register without any notice.
Suppliers/ Manufacturers & Contractors will be required to offer credit facilities covering a period of at least one month and free delivery to Milco Stores at Narahenpita.
Applications should be clearly marked "Registration Of Suppliers/ Contractors -2009" on top left-hand comer of the envelope.
