The People's Republic of Bangladesh has received loan (Loan No : 2188 BAN- Part-A:CTDP) from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to meet up the cost of the Gas Transmission and Development Project and it is intended that a part of the fund will be utilized to eligible payments under the contract for which this Bidding Document has been issued.
The tins Transmission Company Limited (GTCL) (herein after called Purchaser) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders from member countries of the ADB for the Supply and Delivery of Miscellaneous Fittings for the Construction of 508mm (20) OD 165,00 KM high pressure (1135 PSIG) Natural Gas Transmission Pipeline from Bheramara to Khulna. (Details & Specifications have been porovidcd in the bidding Document).
Delivery and services under the contract shall be completed within 210 (Two hundred ten) days counting from the dale of issuance of Commitment Letter by ADB.
International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB's Single-Stage: Two-Envelope Bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from the eligible source countries of the Bank. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information relating to the bid as well as inspection of the bidding document at the following address
The Bidding Document (in English) may be purchased by the interested bidder on submission of a written application to the above address on payment of a non-refundable fee of US$ 750.00 (US Dollars seventy five) or Tk. 5.000.00 (Taka five thousand) in the form of Pay Order/Demand Draft/Cashier Cheque in favour of Gas Transmission Company Limited from 16 November 2008 during office hours on all working days. No Bidding Document will be sold on the closing date of the tender. Bid must be delivered to the above-mentioned address, on or before the date & time in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders in the Bidding Document.
Bid accompanied by a Bid security of an amount of Bangladesh Taka 11.90,000.00 (Taka eleven lac ninety thousand) or USS 17.500.00 (US Dollar seventeen thousand five hundred) must be delivered to the Project Director. Bhcramara-Khulna Gas Transmission Pipeline Project. GTCL. Late Bid shall be rejected. Bid will be opened at 11:30 hrs (Bangladesh Standard Time) on 07 January 2009 in presence of Bidder/Bidder's representatives) who intense to attend.
If the Hid cannot be received and opened due to any unavoidable circumstances or holiday(s) on the scheduled date and time, the same shall be done at the same venue and time on the subsequent working day The Purchaser will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by the Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of Bid.
