THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. This proposed procurement is published to notify potential sources that the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Healthcare System, VA Medical Center, Gainesville, FL 32608, intends to award Sole Source contract to Innoventor Inc. of Earth City, MO. to design and develop modular components which mechanically and electronically integrate the BRRC TheraStride System with a Bertec dual belt Treadmill. All modules must be easily movable and lock into position when in use. Modules include custom rails, guards, platforms, steps and interlocking mechanisms. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541712- Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering and Life Sciences (except Biotechnology). Vendors may identity their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by referencing solicitation number VA-248-09-RP-0070, in a written response to this notice. Requests shall be submitted to Department of Veteran Affairs, North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Healthcare System, VA Medical Center, 1601 Archer Rd, Gainesville, FL 32608, Attention: (90F) Brenda Espinueva, within 15 calendar days of publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed need based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any information received shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
