SECTION II: OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT
II.1) DESCRIPTION
II.1.1) Title attributed to the contract by the contracting authority:
UK-Bristol: remanufacture of unit bulk refueling eqipment (ubre) & various
bulkmeters, jet able valves and pupms etc.
II.1.2) Type of contract and location of works, place of delivery or of
performance: Supplies.
Main site or location of works: UK.
II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): A possible
enabling arrangement for a period of up to 4 years for the repair and
overhaul of UBRE and fuel related equipment used by the British Army and
supported by General Support Vehicles Integrated Project Team (GSV-IPT).
UBRE is a self contained system fitted mainly on Bedford and L/Daf cargo
vehicles but is also fitted on Demountable flat racks deployed from DROPS
vehicles. UBRE is gradually being replaced by the Support Vehicle fleet
but will remain in service until at least 2012/13.
Estimated annual through put is as follows:
UBRE: Year 1 - 200, Year 2 - 200, Year 3 - 175, Year 4 - 120. Other
Equipment: Year 1 - 20, Year 2 - 20, Year 3 - 15, Year 4 - 15.
Although the equipment will be used in different areas around the world
they will be managed from a UK MoD hub, normally Donnington (Telford). The
successful contractor will be responsible for delivering completed
assemblies back to the nominated UK Depot. Potential Contractors who
believe they could undertake such work are to submit an expression of
interest to the issuing branch. Contractors shall provide the following
information as part of their expression of interest:
1. A copy of their QA accreditation certificate.
2 .A short company profile, demonstrating their experience, capability and
facilities.
3. Location of where work would be undertaken.
4. Any relevant commercial literature or publicityMiscellaneous repair and
maintenance services.
